Over the break Hoosac's girls varsity basketball team travel to the Storm King Tournament where they saw themselves matched against perennial AA powerhouse Marianapolis Prep. It was a back and forth battle throughout the whole game, neither team giving or taking an inch. Going into the fourth quarter, Hoosac was down by one point. Coach McBride, of Syracuse fame, knew the game would come down to good defense and clutch foul shooting. She urged the girls on and when the final buzzer sounded the Hoosac girls claimed a NEPSAC AA win 50-45. Marasia Dyes '24 led the way with 18 points while Brooklyn SanFelippo added 12 points and 7 rebounds herself. Ultimately, team defense prevailed keeping the game a low scoring affair.
