Mr. Uhl has a long career as both a teacher and a performing musician. Before Hoosac, he taught at Christ School, Asheville, North Carolina, and the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science in Mobile, where he was also Music Director of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. His work as a choral and orchestral conductor has taken him throughout the southern United States and to France and Italy. After college he studied in Rome with the organist of Saint Peter's Basilica, James Goettsche. In addition to his duties at Hoosac School, he is Organist and Choirmaster of Saint Paul's Church in Troy, New York.
