"Hoosac Helps" Raises Money for "Happy Bottoms"

September 30th, 2021

On September 30th Hoosac Helps, lead by Abigail Lopatofsky ‘23, held a Fundraiser for Happy Bottoms. Happy Bottoms is a non-profit organization that helps provide diapers for families that can’t afford them. In order to raise money for this worthy charity the students sponsored a dress down day.  Students and faculty could wear casual clothes instead of class dress by making a donation to the charity.

The day also was also a competition between the Graftonians and Antonians. This turned the event into a truly heated contest.  The Graftonians led the donations for much of the day but at lunch, Coach Hoff, an Antonian,  made a big donation to attempt to put his team over the top, but this was immediately met with a donation by Graftonian faculty member Bill Ward.

After some quick math Headmaster Foster called the event closed with the lunch announcement bell and when the dust settled it ended up being a tie with two last minute donations. Each team donated $312 to give us a total of $624 for Happy Bottoms.  Great job students and faculty!
