Valley Of The Owl Screening Gets Students Excited for Yule Log Season
October 25th, 2021
The pandemic may have stalled the world for a year but writer, director and Hoosac Alum Raoul Peter Mongilardi didn't let that stop him from producing and directingValley Of The Owl which will be released in distribution. It is a documentary about Hoosac School through the lens of the Jester, the star of the school's annual Christmas Pageant, The Boar's Head & Yule Log.
This film brings the past and present together in the form of a dreamy atmosphere that transcends the simple life of a school and instead brings out the true character of an institution that has not only survived the pandemic but thrived upon exit. The vehicle of the film, the Jester, played by Andrew Crawford, delivers a compelling journey through the life of a student within the life of the school and in particular, the Pageant.
The very first screening took place this past Saturday and Hoosac's current students and faculty were able to get this first look at the film. It was met with raving reviews and the timing could not have been better as the Boar's Head & Yule Log auditions begin today. Students and faculty alike look forward to a great Yule Log Season!
