Putting Theory Into Practice

The students in Mr. Daft's Music Theory and Composition class are putting their skills to the test in arranging and composing their own pieces. Third trimester is the culmination of all of the students' work in harmony and music theory. Projects and assessments have ranged from transcribing famous works, reharmonizing hymns we sing in chapel, and composing and arranging original works.
Here is an example of Benjamin Williams ‘22 harmonizing the hymn tune Somervell.
