Owls Continue to Soar, Hoosac Wins Four More Wednesday in Clean Sweep

On Wednesday, October 5th, Hoosac's Girls Cross Country team raced to yet another first place finish, this time on the road at Darrow School. The Owls finished with a low total of 24 points, edging out the hosts Darrow (42 points) and Miss Halls (56 points) en route to victory. Standout speedster Lily Czub '23 took gold for the second time this season, finishing first overall for girls. 

The Boys Elite Soccer team also hit the road to play two matches, the first being a league match against St. Thomas More. In dominating fashion, the Owls cruised to an 8-0 shutout win. Vth Former Jimmy Choi '24 couldn't be stopped as he pounded the back of the net finishing the afternoon with a total of four goals. 

Immediately after, the Boys Elite 2 squad squeaked out a 3-2 victory in a well fought match over Millbrook. Teo Fernandez de Ipina '24 was able to sneak a late goal past the Millbrook keeper to secure the victory. 

Back at home, Hoosac's Prep Varsity Soccer team played host to Darrow School, coming away with a 9-2 win. Highlights of the match included another four goal performance by VIth Former Alexi Parent '23 as well as a hat-trick by Jacob Bryceland '23. 

Today, Girls Varsity Volleyball will look to continue Hoosac's winning ways as they travel to Storm King for a 3:30 PM showdown.
