Julia Kopala '16 Selected for Fullbright Award to Taiwan

Hoosac School is proud to announce that Julia Kopala '16 has been selected for a Fulbright award to Taiwan, on behalf of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board! Their presidentially appointed 12-member board is responsible for supervising the Fulbright Program worldwide and personally approved the selection of Julia. Her grant is truly a reflection of her leadership and the contributions she has made to society.

The Fulbright Program is devoted to increasing the understanding between the citizens of the United States and the people of other countries, and it is the largest and most diverse international exchange program in the world. Julia will join the ranks of many distinguished program participants who have become judges, ambassadors, cabinet ministers, CEOs and university presidents, as well as journalists, scientists and teachers.

They include 60 Nobel Laureates, 86 Pulitzer Prize winners, 74 MacArthur Fellows and thousands of leaders across the private, public and non-profit sectors.
