Playing girls AAA basketball at Hoosac School means being part of a rich athletic tradition that the school has developed over many years.
Head Coach Julie McBride has a long and distinguished basketball career. She graduated Syracuse University as the school’s all-time leader in points, assists, scoring average, three pointers made, free throws made and minutes played. She was a three-time All-Big East selection.
Coach McBride is a Syracause University top ten all-time athlete, and the only female to make the prestigious list. She played professionally for over 15 years and even signed a contract with the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. She was a top scorer on every team she played for in Europe, and has represented Team Poland on the national stage.
The following Hoosac students are set to play Division I, II or III college basketball next season: Rylie Rosenberg '24 (Merrimack College), Zoe Richardson '24 (Siena College), Hannah Richardson '24 (St. Bonaventure University), Bojana Radnjic '24 (UC Santa Barbara), Lily Czub '24 (Swarthmore College), Marasia Dyes '24 (Goldey Beacom College), Rana Alahdab '24 (Suffolk University) and Mariah Luke '24 (Caldwell University).
