Hoosac School has a long and proud soccer tradition, dating back more than 50 years as one of the first schools to introduce the game to New England. Since then, the Owls have consistently been playoff contenders, building a reputation for excellence both on and off the field.
Our Prep Varsity team competes in the NEPSAC Soccer League with an exclusive roster and dedicated coaching staff throughout the fall season. Following the fall campaign, this group transitions into Owls Elite FC, continuing their development at a high level.
With talented student-athletes, experienced and committed coaches, and outstanding facilities, Hoosac’s Prep Varsity Soccer Program is recognized as one of the premier prep school programs in the country. Our mission is to develop complete players through a training model that emphasizes technical excellence, tactical intelligence, and elite physical conditioning.
Hoosac players represent a truly global community, with student-athletes coming from countries such as Italy, Spain, El Savador, Canada, Guatemala, Bermuda, Jamaica, South Korea, Brazil, Chile, Serbia, and many more.
Our Philosophy: Our program is designed to immerse players in a high-performance environment that prioritizes technical and tactical development, peak physical fitness and proper nutrition, and athlete-specific psychological training. At the core of our philosophy is individualized development, ensuring that every player reaches their full potential both on and off the field.
Player Evaluation & Performance Monitoring: Hoosac takes a scientific, data-driven approach to player development, integrating advanced physical testing, performance technology, and professional analysis.
Comprehensive Physical Assessments: Our dedicated physiologist conducts in-depth evaluations, including bioimpedance scans (body composition and cellular health), dynamometry (muscle strength), jump testing (explosive power), skinfold measurements (body fat analysis), mobility and stability screening (injury prevention), speed and power evaluation, upper and lower body strength testing, and the Flegner Muscle Fiber Type Prediction Test for individualized training.
Advanced GPS Tracking: During training sessions and matches, players are monitored using high-precision GPS systems managed by our Soccer Health and Performance Department. This technology tracks total distance covered, intensity levels, maximum speed and sprint frequency (25+ km/h), movement across speed zones, neuromuscular load, and cardiorespiratory and metabolic output. It also provides ongoing individual and team performance trends, helping optimize development while reducing injury risk.
Professional Match Analysis: Our dedicated performance analyst works closely with the coaching staff to deliver objective, data-driven evaluations using advanced video and analytics tools. This includes tactical analysis aligned with our game model, position-specific breakdowns, identification of strengths and areas for improvement, and actionable insights for technical and tactical growth. Each player receives a personalized development plan tailored to their needs and long-term goals.
Global Player Background: Hoosac proudly develops players who have competed at the highest youth levels worldwide. Our athletes have trained or played with top clubs such as S.S. Lazio, Liverpool FC, Sevilla FC, and Cádiz CF, as well as within national team systems and elite domestic leagues.
College Placement Success: Over the past two years, nearly every student-athlete who aspired to play collegiate soccer has achieved that goal. Hoosac players have committed to NCAA Division I, II, and III programs, as well as Junior College and NAIA institutions.
