The Boys Varsity Ice Hockey team at Hoosac School has had a long tradition of winning, dating back well before being crowned as NEPSAC champions.
The boys varsity ice hockey team at Hoosac School is a true perennial powerhouse in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council, having won both the NEPSAC championship in 2007 as well as back-to-back HOLT Conference championships in 2016 and 2017. The program routinely matriculates student-athletes to NCAA collegiate teams, as well as some of the top junior programs in the country.
Notably, the following students have gone on to play collegiate hockey either NCAA Division I or III: Stephen Buco '09 (UMASS Lowell), Dannick Breton '17 (Southern Maine University), Olivier Lacroix '18 (Salem State University), Luca Ragosta '18 (Salem State University), Patrick McGuane '18 (Anna Maria College), Austin Bellefeuille '18 (Nichols College), Gabriel Pigeon '19 (Lebanon Valley College), Noah Patry-Dontigny '20 (Salem State University), Kevin Chandler '20 (Westfield State University), Murphy LePage '20 (UMASS Dartmouth), Jerry Duckett '21 (Framingham State University), Manny Cabral '21 (New England College), Tyler Drummond '21 (Curry College), Dominic Metro '21 (Endicott College) and Richie Colarusso '21 (St. Anslem College).
